Communism isn't an overnight transition, so it doesn't take everything from you. You still have your things, and the things you need, but you don't have the pile of junk that everyone has that nobody needs.

If you ask me, no, we don't have a right to our mountains of junk because it is wasteful, it is depleting the resources at an unsustainable rate, greed is one of the things that drives the search for excuses to do bad, and most of it only serves to keep people docile, complacent, dumb, and willing to give their lives over to someone who sees them as an expendable line-item.
We would be much, much, much better off without it.

It only degrades something if you let it, and I don't. Keep it in perspective. If something can honestly be degraded by capitalism then it was overvalued to begin with.

Is it really our "right" to actively destroy the planet, which, as a consequence, destroys life on earth? Our excessive abundance is wasting resources, heavily polluting the earth, depleting resources at a rate that is unsustainable, and it is deteriorating the earth.
When you approach it realistically, this "right to junk" is destroying the earth and causing unnecessary health hazards for all life on the earth.
