Girl Scouts Promote Homosexuality and Abortion

Girl Scouts are dangerous -- and not just to your diet. At least that's what Indiana lawmaker Bob Morris says. He has labeled the Girls Scouts of America a radical organization that promotes homosexuality and abortion and is out to destroy American values.

The Republican state representative is being roundly ridiculed for his position, even within his own party. But Morris isn't backing down.

"My family and I took a view and we're sticking by it," Morris told the Associated Press this week, adding that his daughters are now members of a group for conservative Christian girls. "My girls are no longer Girl Scouts. They're now going to join American Heritage Girls."

So we have one crazy state legislator. I don't see there's much of a story nor much to debate here.

I bought girl scout cookies from a delightful young lady who had a table set up outside Kroger. She thanked me for my purchase, and her mom mentioned how hard her daughter was working towards sales goals. Neither one mentioned abortions or homosexuality.

Actually: Her mother made the cookies while having homosexual sex AND an abortion at the same time (wonders to female mult-tasking abilities!).

Pretty much: Another dreaded case of lesbians playing doctors.

I have never seen someone who promotes abortion. It reminds me of when people said that Obama liked killing babies, simply because he supports the right to an abortion.

Maybe the girl scouts really are evil. ;)

Good Lord, what a bunch of stupid crap. I have two cousins in the Girl Scouts, and while I recall a lot of Facebooking about getting this badge and that badge, I don't recall either the Abortion Badge or the Lesbianity Badge. For pete's sake, they're a bunch of cookie-selling little girls. I'm pretty sure they're not part of whatever massive liberal conspiracy the far-right is convinced we're all behind these days....

This just doesn't add up. If they were doing a good job at making the girls lesbians, then there wouldn't be a need for abortions.

One thing I find weird is that there are some who boycott the scouts, both boy and girl, because of the their offical stance on homosexuality. I guess it wasn't a strong enough stance for this guy. :rolleyes:
