Anyone else having problems with glitches on this site?

I have been having problems with things jumping around and pages randomly re-laoding lately.
Last one was a total screen blackout....flashing back to the site and then to blackout again. I shut it down and rebooted but these problems will not go away. The black screen was visible on reboot.

I have just bought a new laptop because I thought it was my old one not coping with recent updates, but the new one is no better....worse in fact.
If no one else is having problems then I have to look for other causes.....

We are having problems with the NBN (National Broadband Network) rollout in Australia at present.....maybe the Internet ninjas are not happy.

It's not your computer, it's the site. I switched to the default version at the bottom of the screen. When I post, the screen jumps to where I can't see what I'm typing. It did it more often in the new interface than the default. It does it here but it's also easier to get around too.

Not sure how a web browser can make the whole screen go black?

What browser are you using? Have you tried different browsers?

The only bugs I so far encountered here is that whenever I use this forum in a browser without add-blocker, it tends to get extremely slow after mere minutes, especially if I have more than one tab with pages of this forum.

I switched to the default version also and found it was better, but am still having problems. I bought a new laptop and the black screen of death turned out to be a faulty computer so I sent it back and got a better replacement.

With the replacement, (a reputable brand) I switched back to the other version and still had glitches, so I am back to the default. I don't like it as much. It has to be something to do with the site. Has it been hacked?

Also I have way more problems of this sort with Windows than with IOS. Go figure? :shrug:

We are also switching to a new broadband network here in Australia (NBN) and since it was cabled in my neighborhood, my ADSL has been slow, lagging and dropping out. I am switching to the new network sometime next week, so it will be interesting to see if there is any difference. It was suppose to be fibre optic cable to every home, but the cost blowout made them change it to a "fibre to the node" arrangement, which meant we get fibre to the street, but old copper phone wire to the house unless we want to pay for a fibre connection which would cost thousands. There are more complaints about the new broadband network than the old one. :mad: Those with an all fibre connection are very happy....those with the cheaper option are not.
Our neighbors in New Zealand have all fibre and there are no complaints over there. They love it!

Isn't technology wonderful? They make you dependant on it, and then mess it all up. :confused:

What sort of Internet does America have? DSL? ADSL? Are you guys happy with what you have?

Haha. Yeah. I'm gradually going on a simplicity fast. I cleaned my apartment now after I get all the rest of my clothes and stuff to goodwill thrift store, all I need to do is focus on disattaching myself from my computer and phone and focus on my teaching and devotions. Day at a time.

Gosh. You'd think cause I'm kinda young I know about this stuff. I remember when there were no personal computers let alone laptops.

I think it's "DSL, ADSL, SDSL, and VDSL" Don't ask me what any of these mean, lol. The only glitches I came across on the default is that the typing window sometimes jumps up. I have to click "more options" to get it to stop.

I have a problem with my posts being randomly deleted.
But it afflicts only the salacious & offensive ones.
I haven't a clue about the cause.

Another problem....
It seems that no one can see my posts about 9/11 & metalurgy.
(Cuz no one responds.)

Just as an experiment, I have switched from Microsoft Edge to Firefox and the glitches seem to have disappeared......hmmmmm o_O
