My thoughts of this tend to be two-fold.

God is nature and God is human. God is what nature is becoming, because of humans. Humans are inside the Universe, whereas, The Omniverse, or ultimate nature, is outside. Honestly, this answer on the first question of the Select Smart Religion quiz...

is the best way I can describe God. Ultimate reality is The Omniverse, and the personal Gods are humans.

That is true. The Universe was created from nothing, because the Universe is nothing. Between the negative energy of dark matter and dark energy and the positive energy of stars and planets, it evens out and there is no energy in the Universe. However, something caused the quantum fluctuation and that was the local multiverse.
