There is no healing after the grief. That is just a cliche.Grieving is immensely difficult but it is necessary for healing imo

There will be a new earth but there will not be a new heaven. Heaven is perfect so it does not have to be renewed. The Bible tells us of a new heaven and new earth….
But in the NT stories of the death of Jesus, God is commander, planner, and executioner, and the bad things are the direct result of God's (inexplicable) wishes and actions.Bad things happen because of people not god.
Yes it doesThere will be a new earth but there will not be a new heaven. Heaven is perfect so it does not have to be renewed.
Death comes to all. Even God in the flesh. So one could say God sent himselfBut in the NT stories of the death of Jesus, God is commander, planner, and executioner, and the bad things are the direct result of God's (inexplicable) wishes and actions.
Which seem to me to be morally indefensible.
The argument is also available that those actions were God's breach of faith regarding [his] covenant with the Jews.
What about good things? Wasn't the death and resurrection of Jesus a good thing?Bad things happen because of people not god.
I guess we can say anything we wish.Death comes to all. Even God in the flesh. So one could say God sent himself
People killed Jesus. God makes life possible for humans so if you want to call that good you can. What about good things? Wasn't the death and resurrection of Jesus a good thing?
You seem to be avoiding the question. Do you consider the death and resurrection of Jesus a good or bad thing (and by all means explain any more nuanced perception)?People killed Jesus. God makes life possible for humans so if you want to call that good you can.
My answer remains the sameYou seem to be avoiding the question. Do you consider the death and resurrection of Jesus a good or bad thing (and by all means explain any more nuanced perception)?
If God makes life possible, he also makes pain, suffering and death possible, if not inevitable (especially if he is omniscient). I don't see how you can attribute all good things to God but all bad things to people, especially given the perception of things being good or bad is often not a simple binary that everyone can agree on.
So let me see if I understand your reasoning. You believe that God suffered because his son died, so that makes it okay for him to allow the senseless suffering of innocents? You always hear people complaining that if there was a God he wouldn’t allow bad things to happen. People seem to forget that his son died. He knows a little something about pain imo.
The word you're looking for is "evasion".My answer remains the same
