Seems the relationship was based on ignorance from the very beginning.
Look at it from God's point of view........yes you can.
If your 'reflection' echoes all that you pronounce....

If you could be in more than one place at a time....
the effect would still be the same.....talking to yourself.
So the creation of Man was made to relieve it.
BUT....
that creation would have to be less than you...altogether....born ignorant.
So as the creation matures....it has bad habits.
It needs severe correction now and then.
All the while the reasoning is withheld.
And it's the quest for knowledge that we were made for.
Anyone care for an apple?

If I ever discover a religion that is based on lies, I'll give it some thought. 
Seriously, no relationship stands up if it is based on lies. But religion is a bit vague on that regard. In order to recognize a lie, you would first have to find out the truth. Since truth can be subjective, then a lie to one person would not be regarded as a lie to someone else in a lot of cases.
The biggest thing is that religion is not made up with facts, it is made up with beliefs (faith). Beliefs can be translated into opinion.

Truth and facts, to me, are not the same thing.
The truth to me is that The Bee Gees are an amazing singing group. The truth to my mother is that The Bee Gees are awful. Who is to say which of us is wrong?
Fact: The Bee Gees have sold many records.

Different taste in music is simply based on the fact that you are two different people and because of your differences you have a different reaction to certain stimulus. This does not prove that truth is subjective.
The truth is neither you nor your mother can walk through a brick wall on your own powers. And no amount of wishing that truth is subjective will change that truth.

So why compare them?
If a discussion of God is vague, how does it mean there are lies involved? That's a pretty big jump.
The way I see it is that it is a fact I can't walk through walls. All facts can be called truth but not all truth are facts.

Truth does not bend to the way you see it.
You can't really have a healthy relationship with ANYONE if it's founded on lies.
But, perhaps I might suggest carefully explaining to God why his lying is undermining your relationship. He might not know. He might think you're okay with him answering other people's prayers when you are expecting his full attention.
Before saying he doesn't care anymore, ask yourself, when was the last time you bought God flowers? Get the calves minded by your cow-in-law and go out to dinner and a movie, just the two of you.
