Sorry if this has been posted before or I posted it in the wrong place. I've just been hooked on this song lately, and couldn't think of anywhere else to put it.

I think it makes me profoundly sad. If 'God is you and me,' I see nothing but things to celebrate in everyone here on the forums, and most people in the world.

Whoops, sorry, didn't explain myself properly. For example, in you, Jensa, I see nothing but beauty and light. I see my version of the Goddess, or God, depending on how one sees divinity.

*looks at the song a different way* I can't tell from reading it; is the writer/ singer being sarcastic? If it's only the last two lines that aren't, I understand, but they aren't actually summing up all the parts of humanity, or at least that which has a view on religion. They say "God is neither good nor bad," but it seems like they only focus on the latter.
Maybe I need to hear it to 'get' it.

Maybe it's just my own jaded-ness, but I think they're summing up the hypocrisy of saying 'God thinks.'

I think the only really important lyrics are:

It might help hearing it... I got it because of the lyrics and thought it was going to be all screaming hard rock, but it's soft and melodic

Well, it does show different views of people. But obviously it isn't all correct.

I realize that some people have different patterns of speech than others, and you may have typed that without considering the horror of that phrase... It can take many years for some people to learn how (hopefully) unintentionally bigoted they sound when they use it. I'm sure you are far wiser than they.
