God for me is the universe. It’s so awesome to feel God‘s power. It’s that infinity that breathes life into my lungs. What majestic awesomeness imo. What a blessing imo. That’s why it’s hard for me to understand why people can’t feel God‘s presence. Oh well. Maybe they’re envisioning the wrong god.

What was it you wanted to debate?
  • That God is the universe?
  • That it's awesome to feel God's power?
  • That God has power?
  • That the universe is infinite?
  • That you have life in your lungs?
  • Whether that majestic awesomeness is God, power, infinity, breath, or your lungs?
  • Which of these things is a blessing?
  • Whether or not people can feel God's presence?
  • Why it's hard for you to understand why they can't feel God's presence?
  • Which god is the right god?
  • Whether or not a god can be envisioned?
Or are you just here to tell people what you believe again and suggest others' beliefs are wrong?

On the other hand, they (those not inclined to belief in God or similar) might be balancing up the goods and the bads of existence, and hence not coming up with a causal explanation, particularly when such might favour human life over all others, and this perhaps being a projection and a rather self-serving one - as to our survival - when that is the goal of all life it seems. So why would we simply choose a convenient explanation over a truthful one - even if the latter might await us in the future?

You’re entitled to think human life is the most important thing in existence.

I find that it's both positive and healthy to take a moment to contemplate "God" as the 'great mystery of being'. To sit quietly and "feel God" as the breath if life that passes in and out of my lungs. And as the gravity that holds my body in the embrace of 'Mother Earth'. And in the blood surging through my veins each time I hear my own heart beat. And to think what an astonishing and amazing thing this is ... just to be here, and to be a living being. And to be aware of it.

Thank you for your post. It gave me a moment sit still and be aware of the incredible blessing that it is just to be alive and awake in this amazing universe.

I dunno about envisioning the "wrong" god but there are a lot of expectations and assumptions folks attach to the word in Western culture. Those expectations do a lot to shape how we interpret our life experiences and whether or not something is understood as gods. Theism in many respects is really very simple once stripped of all the teachings and assumptions about gods. It's seeing marvel, mystery, majesty, magnificence. The rest is just over-intellectualized commentary that obscures the root feeling of it all.
