A man was in his house when a tremendous storm blew in. For days it rained and rained. Flood waters rose and started threatening the man and his home. He started praying to God for help. As the water reached his front steps, a 4x4 truck drove by and the driver asked if the man needed any help. The man replied, "no, God will help me!" The truck drove off.
The water got deeper and rose to the bottom of his windows. A boat came by and the people on board asked if the man needed any help. The man replied, "no, God will help me!" The boat went on down the way.
The water reached his roofline and the man was forced to scramble to the top of his roof. While he was sitting there praying, a news helicopter hovered overhead and the pilot asked if the man needed any help. The man replied, "no, God is going to help me!" The helicopter flew off.
The flood waters covered the top of the house, swept the man away and he drowned. When he entered the Pearly Gates, he looked at God and said, "why didn't you help me? I prayed and prayed!" God replied, "I sent you a truck, a boat and a helicopter. What more do you want?"
