The Bible is the Word of God. God is the author of it. God chose holy men of old to record the exact words which He wanted written down, and in the exact sense and sequence of His desire.
Today we live in "the dispensation of the grace of God" in which God is executing today for the Gentiles and Jews without distinction. This program without distinction was not always in operation, but God is now executing His grace under a new program and and new dispensation of His grace. This program is different from His previous program with the nation of Israel. In this present grace dispensation God has set Israel aside temporarily in abeyance and the "time past" program of dealing with Israel is no longer operating. God has made the Gentiles to be near, and not "far off" (Romans 11:11 25; Ephesians 2:11 22). In Ephesians 3:1-6, God communicated to the Apostle Paul the revelation of this present dispensation in which God now has first made known and committed unto Paul, to us, the mystery of this truth:
Ephesians 3:1-6 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you ward: how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
This present dispensation was a "mystery" before Israel had no revelation from God about this mystery, Israel had no knowledge about this mystery, there was no sneak previews about it; this mystery of God was truly a complete' mystery in His mind only! God has purposely kept it secret unto Himself in ages and generations past. It was not until God raised up and commissioned the apostle Paul and to reveal unto him regarding the "mystery of Christ" that this new dispensation of Gentile grace has been ushered in. Oh what a glorious mystery this is, in which both Jew and Gentile, man and women, young and old, healthy or feeble, all are equal in Christ in this mystery of God's grace. Oh how unsearchable are these riches of Christ!
The Bible declares that God is working out a two-fold plan and purpose. One aspect centers around the people of Israel and the covenant God made with Abraham and his seed. God's plan and purpose with Israel pertains to this earth, and has been the subject matter of "all his holy prophets since the world began."
The other aspect centers around God's "new creation," the "one new man," the church the body of Christ, which He is forming now in this present dispensation of Gentile grace. God's purpose with the church pertains to the heavenly places, and is something God kept "hid in Himself" in ages past. He first revealed it when He raised up Paul to be a brand new apostle to the Gentiles, to the uncircumcision.
God's program and dealings with Israel, and His program and dealings with the church the body of Christ, are not the same. They are two distinct and different programs. Because of this, God commands us to know how to study to discern the distinct differences of His purpose and Oracle to the Jews of the Old Testament and Gentiles and Jews in the New Testameent Epistles, this requires us to "rightly dividing the word of truth" as we study the Bible. We must study to recognize the Bible's two proper purposes, recognizing the portion that pertains to God's program with Israel and recognizing the portion that pertains to what God is doing today in the dispensation of His grace.
Today, we must ask ourselves - what must I do yo be saved? Since salvation is a free gift without any work whatsoever (Eph. 2:8-9), then salvation is not dependent upon walking the aisle, joining the church, being water baptized, joining a church assembly, repenting of your sins, turning away from your sins, forsaking your sins, confessing your sins (1 John 1:9), inviting Jesus Christ into your heart [Jeremiah 17:9]. Forgiveness is available to all who believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again and that God forgave us for Christs sake.
Today, the gospel of savation requires a clear gospel which requires the death, buriel, and resurrection of Christ Jesus, and the blood of Christ Jesus shed for our sins; this gospel is only found in the epistles, not in the Gospel accounts, at least not in referecne to all these facts.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Salvation is trusting completely in what Christ did in our behalf at Calvary.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise
We saints believe that this glorious truth of God's grace has been hidden from the world and hidden from religious systems. Specifically, God's grace is hidden by Satan from this present world which has substituted the traditions of men for the truth of God's grace.
