Sounds like a terrible idea and possibly unconstitutional. I don't think either party is for freedom.

The good thing about how the right keeps going farther right is that moderate voters are going to get fed up with them, and that means more votes for the sane party, Democrats. The right wing parties all over the world are going insane. Israel. Georgia (of the former USSR). Hungary. Turkey. Iran. All of these nations are ruled by the right and facing protests by citizens for extreme policies that threaten democrcy and civil rights. I would include Russia but putin is being a criminal dictator, so that society will have to wait until he's gone.

While it appears from an outside perspective that many of our politicians are idiots, I don't think that's true. what I think is closer to the mark is that most of them are without ethics or morals and they know how to pander to their bases.

The idea that such male-cow-excrement would appeal to their constituents absolutely terrifies me.
