GOP Wants To Strip Healthcare From Millions

I think, contrary to the belief of many people, this action was not primarily the result of idiots or loons infiltrating the Republican Party. I suspect it is altogether more likely motivated by Republicans fulfilling the wishes of their big donors, including some notable billionaires like the Koch brothers.

By the way, the date of this "news" is January 12, 2017. Old stuff. But I think my comments about the vote still stand.

So I found the numbers. The vote was 210 to 206 the most contentious being the cutting of Children Healthcare known as CHIP. No Democrat votes for it. The Fox News article calls it “symbolic” but it really shows the voters where they stand, not for the poor or working class that’s for sure.

Yes naturally but exacly how they "take it away from certain people"?
When they cut funds specifically for children programs they cut health from children. When they cut health benefits for women they target women including the GOP wanting to get rid of contraception funding. The GOP has of course been targeting Planned Parenthood for a while which they found a way to cripple since their efforts to defund it have not succeeded.
What Does Trump's Proposal To Cut Planned Parenthood Funds Mean?

They don't have universal healthcare...
It's a socialist principle we Europeans invented...and that they don't like.
Right the US healthcare system that attempts help those in need are all divided up some programs for children some for women, Medicare for elderly etc.

That still doesnt excuse the headline. If something is being taken off from someone we need to know exactly how and why it happens.

Nobody likes cuts.

Nobody likes mosquitoes either.

They are trying to do their budget and that’s where the GOP feels is a great place to start. Anything helping the poor, healthcare etc. Trump wants the funds for the already severely over bloated defense budget. Why target children healthcare is a good question for the GOP, Democrats thought it was pretty ridiculous. I gave you the link that gave more information on what they want to cut other than just CHIP.

As a European who's also apparently a big fan of Trump and Co., would you prefer to have privatized healthcare rather than the socialized health care that you have now?

Same thing happened to me with Obama . Affordable? Care act. Made my insurance unaffordable and then fined me for not being able to afford it. Health care is bad in the USA no matter who has been in charge of it.

Medicaid expansion is supposed to ease the burden, at least in states which accepted Obamacare, but the current administration is cutting into that. Their attitude is well the states can take care of themselves unfortunately not all states have an economy like CA.

But we have to make up for the loss of revenue from the tax cuts for the worrkig class and the income enhancements of the rich!
That's misinformation, most likely. I don't think it's the wall. I think it's the uber-rich favoring tax cuts that are creating pressure to cut social service programs.
Of course how silly of me. We should all be more than happy to give the last of our barely scraping by incomes to our overlords.
