Gospel of Barnabas according to Christians?

I was wondering about the view of christians regarding the Barnabas Gospel, and wether they reject it or not?

If so, on what basis ?

Well the first reason would be that it did not exist at the time the Canon was finalised...

What it simply says... the Gospel of Barnabas did not exist when the canon was decided. When the books of the New Testament were chosen, it was not among those available.
