Gravitational Waves may have been discovered:

We've already inferred the existence of gravitational waves through observations of the orbital decay rate of the binary neutron star system PSR B1913+16. It's not as good as direct observation of the waves themselves, but it does confirm to us that they should be there.

Inferred, but not observed.

So I take it Quantum Mechanics just got a little bit more complicated?

I've been wondering how soon a new detector would yield results.
I watch with great interest.

I am not very good at physics but I surely know that not even gravity has ever been proved, yet the waves of it!

There is much controversy over the theory of gravity, which is indeed only a theory.
Many schools here want to teach the controversy over alternative theories, eg, Intelligent Falling.

Alas....tis true.....
I couldn't resist sharing. It's a beautiful piece, right down to the illustration shown on the screen in the background, and a headline I had forgotten all about. Thanks for reminding me.
