Gravity: It's Only a Theory

The Universal Theory of Gravity is often taught in schools as a fact, when in fact it is not even a good theory.

First of all, no one has measured gravity for every atom and every star. It is simply a religious belief that it is "universal".

Secondly, school textbooks routinely make false statements. For example, "the moon goes around the earth." If the theory of gravity were true, it would show that the sun's gravitational force on the moon is much stronger than the earth's gravitational force on the moon, so the moon would go around the sun. Anybody can look up at night and see the obvious gaps in gravity theory.

The existence of tides is often taken as a proof of gravity, but this is logically flawed. Because if the moon's "gravity" were responsible for a bulge underneath it, then how can anyone explain a high tide on the opposite side of the earth at the same time? Anyone can observe that there are two — not one — high tides every day. It is far more likely that tides were given us by an Intelligent Creator long ago and they have been with us ever since. In any case, the fact that there are two high tides falsifies gravity.

Teach the controversy!
https://www.theonion.com/evangelical-scientists-refute-gravity-with-new-intellig-1819567984
KANSAS CITY, KS—As the debate over the teaching of evolution in public schools continues, a new controversy over the science curriculum arose Monday in this embattled Midwestern state. Scientists from the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning are now asserting that the long-held "theory of gravity" is flawed, and they have responded to it with a new theory of Intelligent Falling.

Thngs fall not because they are acted upon by some gravitational force, but because a higher intelligence, 'God' if you will, is pushing them down," said Gabriel Burdett, who holds degrees in education, applied Scripture, and physics from Oral Roberts University.

Burdett added: "Gravity—which is taught to our children as a law—is founded on great gaps in understanding. The laws predict the mutual force between all bodies of mass, but they cannot explain that force. Isaac Newton himself said, 'I suspect that my theories may all depend upon a force for which philosophers have searched all of nature in vain.' Of course, he is alluding to a higher power."

Yes they can.

The force or acceleration an object of mass experiences in a gravitational field is caused by spacetime curvature. Spacetime is curved around all objects of mass.
Space and time are both relative, in certain circumstances, such as with black holes, the gravitational field is very strong, because spactime curvature is so extreme. So extreme in fact that not even light can escape.

That's just a rationalization to deny God.

Gravity: It's Only a Theory
[Textbook disclaimers are down, but not out. This satirical look at "only a theory" disclaimers imagines what might happen if advocates applied the same logic to the theory of gravitation that they do to the theory of evolution.]

All physics textbook should include this warning label:

Yes the Sun effects about twice as much gravitational force as the Earth does upon the Moon.
However it's not that simple, what matters is the Moon's earthward acceleration due to gravitation compared to the difference between the Moon's and Earth's sunward gravitational acceleration, the relative acceleration the Sun effects on the Moon is in fact about 1/87th in magnitude to that of the Earth's gravitational pull on the Moon.

God wasn't part of the reasoning, empirical evidence was.

I could show you how to a do a simple experiment now to confirm that time and space are relative. If you wish. Dont just take my word for it.

Oh good, more bad knowledge of science being used to "prove" whatever...

Even a miniscule understanding of what gravity is really about would tell you that this is a nonsense statement.

Here is where you really display your complete lack of knowledge. Gravity says that attraction is proportional to masses, and inversely proportional to the distance between them. The sun is very massive, but is 93 million miles from both earth and moon. Earth and moon are much less massive, but much closer together (about a quarter million miles). So, the force of gravity exerted by the massive sun on both the moon and earth must be divided by about 8,649,000.000.000.000, while the gravity between earth and moon need only be divided by 62,500,000,000. Any understanding of math would alert you that this is ENORMOUS. Point being, you are completely wrong.

Want to understand the science of that last bogus assertion here it is. But basically, you forget that while the moon is orbiting the earth every 28 days, the earth itself is spinning on its axis every 24 hours. The rest, I'm afraid, is going to require thinking. Good luck.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Everybody knows gravity is the inverse centrifical force pushed outwards for which raising of the hands, raising of the Dead, and the Ascension of Jesus, brings about a polarized effect upon those who are not saved and those saved as well through the weight of the cross keeping everybody and everything down.

It is scientifically sound that more people get saved the lighter we will become and eventually rise into the air to meet Jesus.

Really, well try explaining this Mister Smarty Pants...

Gravity totally fails to explain why Saturn has rings and Jupiter does not. It utterly fails to account for obesity.

Good luck.

Gravity, toss a rock into the air it falls to earth is no theory none needed it's a fact. Neither religion nor science determines that and neither is needed for that.

Toss a rock into the air it falls to earth. therefore..there is no God!!!" I Doth protest gravity a theory"

It seems the therefore is what this actually is about. Tossing a rock in the air and it falls isn't even science. No science is needed at all.

Some people are obese because Jupiter does not have rings, Some people are not obese because Saturn has rings, or maybe it is the other way around.

Wait a minute, Oh my! Jupiter does have Jovian Rings. You know like 'no seeums' that the 'no seeums' that make cob webs, or was it fairies?.

If one wishes to learn more about gravity, it's best to consult Wile E. Coyote. He's a genius and understands gravity quite well.

One of the amusing things about the orbit of the moon is that it is always arced towards the sun, even as the moon orbits the Earth. So, yes, the moon does, in fact, go around the sun.

Evidence is Satan's plaything.
Gravity is just an atheist's invention because of hatred for God.
Intelligent Falling comports far better with the Bible, which is
the ultimate science textbook.
