Great Patriots, Mostly Peaceful: Trump’s Promise to Free Jan. 6 Inmates in DC Jail — Almost All of Them Assaulted Law Enforcement Officers

Attacking the capitol was criminal. People who came in as police said “come on in” and then are charged for being there… that charge is criminal in and of itself.
As if the "tourists" didn't see the hours long fight with police at barricdes, and then police retreating to the Capitol doors, which then were pounded open by steel bars. There are thousands who attended the rally (which was all based on Trump's lie, and total fraud on Trump's part)who knew not to approach the police, nor go into the Capitol. America's Most Gullible.

So, the courts and their verdicts were wrong and Trump is right?

By chance, are you getting your "news" from Fox? Just asken for a friend. ;)

I don't want free healthcare. I don't want free anything. I want to be free. You can't have both.
If freedom costs and is outside of the reach of affordability it isn't freedom at all. It's a privilege not a right, not a freedom.

Same with healthcare, food, water, etc. Things that should be basic rights. Things that would indicate actual freedom.

Òur economic and technological situation requires that certain needs be accessible for freedom to occur.

I could simply live off the land, but that's restricted these days. I am, to a great extent, restricted to participating in the economic system that also restricts accessibility to that system. I want food: I need money. I want money: I need work. I want work: I need a slew of things including available jobs I am capable of performing.

if courts always had it right - the Supreme Court wouldn’t change lower courts verdicts

no :) I saw the videos

Mind posting which videos you saw that show police officers escorting people around? My understanding is that these were misleading and police were attempting to either get the people to leave or purposely leading them away from Senators.

The circumstances, eg, mob violently breaking thru
perimeter barriers, breaking windows, breaking thru
doors to gain entry. A reasonable person would see
the mob as illegitimate, even if there was invitation
by some cops. To remain part of the mob as it
vandalized, looted, & threatened public workers
should be viewed as complicit. The only issue would
be each individual's level of criminal behavior.

Adding to their culpability is their responding to
Trump's exhortations to violence....

I'm far from being a patriot. I loathe our government.
But I do like the Constitution. It's exceedingly useful.
So I favor vigorous prosecution & severe punishment
of those who'd overthrow government by illegal means.

I was going to but an interesting development happened

1) when I located them - for some reason the link now says “doesn’t exist”
2) when I now use the verbiage only the “Insurrection” now appears

algorithm aren’t cooperating

perhaps the videos that are beginning to be released will give us a better picture

I see, so you believe Trump and those who charged into the Capitol were just visiting and were invited in by the Capitol Polce. Well then, please tell us why over 100 of the police were injured with 5 dying later? Don't they count, iyo? Have you listened to any of their testimony, such as with the January 6th investigation?

Frankly, Ken, I find your position deeply disturbing because it seems you are all too willing to not care much for the actual victims but all too willing to defend Trump, and you're not the only one doing this here. This is not about politics-- it's about law & order and basic Judeo-Christian/humanistic morality.
