Hi ... I think I've been here before ...
Anyway, cradle Catholic, grew up, wandered off, stumbled into Hermeticism, the Perennial Philosophy (René Guénon, Frithjof Schuon et al) and Comparative Religion, Neoplatonist metaphysics and then Patristics. Wandered back home again. Did a BA(Divinity) degree in Catholic theology, to get a broader grip on what it was I had come home to.
Currently into Patristics, Ressourcement Theologie ('back to the sources') and Christian Neoplatonist metaphysics generally ... Very interested in the metaphysic of Johannes Scottus Eriugena, a 9th century scribe, 'the last great neoplatonist in the west' and a millenium ahead of the field in phenomenology ... his writings were condemned, but went underground and he (directly or indirectly) influenced Aquinas, de Cusa, Eckhart and others.
