Had my second heart attack that required having open heart double bypass surgery.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm now post op and have been discharged from the hospital and am presently at home recovering from the procedure which includes a split cut breastbone that needs to heal.

It's a reason I haven't posted much , albeit I lurked with a peak on occasion.

I find that I'm not much interested in political debates anymore, and am now more focused on my spiritual outlook moving forward as this experience gave me considerable insight into what's actually important in this life, which involves the well being of people overall , and how suffering and pain plays a part in all of it.

Still am weak with pain management therapy and restricted from my mormal routine, loads of medication in addition to my diabetes, but am moving around and ambulatory which is normal for this point in my recovery.

Doctors say 3 months of disability with a full 6 months for a complete recovery.

Yeoch! Happy to hear you're recovering. How long ago did this occur?

I look forward to hearing more about this, when you're ready(and if you're willing to share).

Politics are politics, imo. Nations rise, nations fall. People suffer, and people experience joy. It goes round and round again, generation to generation... I vote so I can say I did that duty, but I don't talk about it much, because, like you say, there's so much more important things out there that I can do more about.

Keep at it. That PT makes such a big difference.

Congrats on surviving the initiation into the Zipper Club.
A friend joined, & is having a slow recovery too.
He didn't even have a heart attack.
May you find it easier & faster.

I want to thank everyone for the kind and compassionate words.

I lost about 30 percent heart efficiency with the second attack from what i was told, suffice to say I'm doing well overall under the circumstances and am in good spirits. Pain is spotty but I'm on pretty good painkillers albeit I have to be careful not to get addicted ,so I need to follow specific instructions listed.
