Another interesting video by Eisel on sobriety, mental health, drugs, and so on.

Here is a full playlist of his on anti-depressants, weed, psychotropic meds, etc, and his positions on these matters: DRUGS. #QuitEverything

I don't think about it much anymore but whenever I think about it I thank God that I got off antidepressant drugs before it was too late for me and found homeopathic medicine.

Truly they are horrid (in my view), blessed be God for delivering you.

No they really aren't horrid.

Edit: And I am typically a fan of some homeopathic remedies. But drugs to help with ones mental health are not "poisons" as you are implying.

Haldol is an ancient medication that is hardly used anymore, there are much safer more effective medications available today for pyschosis, untreated psychosis is much more disturbing than the side effects of the better medications. Doctors that are still prescribing Haldol today should have their license revoked

That's great. I was on that garbage for years. It just screwed my mind up and gave me horrible withdrawal. All the while I was still depressed and wanted to die. Good riddance to useless junk.

God did deliver me through a Baha'i I met when I was on the antidepressants for five years, from 1983-1988, and going downhill fast. I just happened to move into a new area where there was a Baha'i group and a Baha'i told me about a homeopathic doctor he went to, who was also a Baha'i. This man had disabling manic depression all his life but was cured by homeopathy and never needed drugs again.

Haldol's great!
We used it in the ER all the time. We'd get manic, combative patients, totally out of their minds, and a quick shot/jab of Haldol in the thigh would often calm them right down.
We called it "vitamin H."

Yep. It's rarely used as an antipsychotic any more, but can be helpful for agitation or post-operative nausea and vomiting. Like other first generation anti-psychotics, it can cause tardive dyskinesia. "Ask your doctor if Abilify is right for you."

As one who worked with patients with dementia, Haldol was one of the worst. All it did was bring a false sense of 'quiet' to the staff.
