Halloween isn't

Satanic. That's right, it's been co-opted by Satanic imagry and messages, probably because of it's 'spooky' nature, but it's a traditional Holiday where we eat candy and people dress up in costumes.

That's all folks, carry on.

I would say that I can see why the meaning behind Halloween would put many a religious person off.
Saying that, when Halloween does come along, no one really thinks about the meaning behind it and goes out for a good time.
Those religious people who lock their doors take it a little too far. Just enjoy it for the holiday it is.

You forgot to mention that it was Protestant Christians who made it spooky in the first place. Satanists didn't have anything to do with that.

Halloween's always had a special place in my heart. It never fails to bring back memories of a happier, more carefree time. I'd put on my costume, slit the throats of 13 black goats and hold an all night orgy amid the rivers of gore.

I miss high school sometimes.

Oh, the simple times :sad4:

Not even! If you're willing to call it not Satanic, then you should extend the same courtesy to calling its imagery not Satanic.

What do you mean by "satanic?"

Even in its "secular" rendition, I see Halloween as extremely satanic in that a major theme of the day is confronting people with that which they fear and consider taboo. If that doesn't embody adversity, I don't know what does. Plus, the non-secular traditions involve things like honoring gods, ancestral spirits, fae, and so forth that are not exactly endorsed by the classical monotheisms. That makes it "satanic" to some of these groups.

I see what you're saying. Yeah makes sense, I guess.

What criteria must an image meet to be deemed "satanic"?

You mean to tell me I have been sacrificing goats every year for the past decade for NOTHING?

Yup. Halloween as we know it today is nothing more than another Capitalist orgy of a day that has hijacked the notion of what a "holiday" means, that we have a reason to celebrate them, and replaced them all with a mountain of advertisements that say "give us your money." At least this holiday has all the candy and fog machines and strobe lights and stuff that are made in America which keeps more money here, unlike "Christmas" when America has one giant month long spending orgy with China as the primary beneficiary.

At my school (keep in mind this is the northern tip of the Bible Belt), there is some event, or workshop, lecture, or whatever it is/was provided by student activities, that is addressing the question of if Halloween is the Devil's holiday.
Hopefully someday I'll be where there isn't a such an overwhelming load of stupid.

It's all about the placement of the words 'candy' and 'people'. The way you wrote it sounds wholesome, but it's really only a quick word flip away from being seriously nasty.

And a little weird, I guess. Eating people is one thing, but who ever heard of candy dressing up in costumes?

The worst thing is when they dress up people in candy costumes.
