Seeking the middle path..
Mine was pretty good. My girlfriend had 17 family members over to my place ( I live in two acres) for an afternoon of food, talk and games. Six were kids who had fun running around outside. I'd set up a 2/3 scale baseball diamond using 1 foot sq. paving stones dug flat into the ground and a soccer ball so they could play kickball. It was a great afternoon.
