I know this isn't an official "Hindu Festival", but fathers are important to my Hinduism (and even more so, Mothers!), so I say to ALL YOU FATHERS OUT THERE (which includes myself) -

Homage to the memory of my father, and grandfather, and great-grandfather about whom I know; as also to the fathers (pitrus) whom I do not know. Sorry, father, you passed away before the things got better. That is my greatest sorrow. But we had your support when the things were bad.
