Happy for no reason

"Happy For No Reason" is a book by Marci Shimoff.

The book is basically a step-by-step guide to improving your levels of happiness. Marci examines 21 habits that lead to greater happiness if you practice them on a regular basis.

The habits cover all aspects of life - the physical, the mental, the spiritual, your relationships and general attitudes.

Some habits you will find relatively easy to change while others may prove more of a challenge.

Meditation is one of the habits Marci recommends. I can also vouch for it - just try a google search for benefits of meditation to see what I mean!

There are countless meditation sites out there in cyberspace. Here is one I enjoy -

A Loving-Kindness Meditation to Boost Compassion

You might also like to try a search for Tiny Buddha meditation - it's a wonderful site.

Here is a quiz from the book -

You can find Marci on YouTube as well -

If you are still curious, try these Google searches:

Book review Happy For No Reason

That's about it.

I hope you enjoy the book or the videos ...

Wishing you al the best!

I've listened to part of this book. I should finish it at some point - it was a nice premise. Thanks for the reminder. :)

You're welcome.

I have found it most helpful and the 21 stories of people who have transformed their lives from being less-than-happy to becoming genuinely happy are quite inspiring - at least they are to me ...

Best of luck with it!

Cheers.

The title of this thread reminded me of a poem from "I heard God laughing"

I am happy even before i have a reason.

I am full of Light even before the sky
Can greet the sun or moon.

Dear companions,
We have been in love with God
For so very, very long.

What can Hafiz now do but Forever
Dance!
