Today is also Viṣu on the Malayalam Calendar. It is now year 5126 of Kaliyuga.

This was my first time to observe Viṣu. I made the display, offered the food to Venkaṭeśvara (I don't have any icons of Kṛṣṇa), chanted the 108 Names of Kṛṣṇa (which took a long time due to looking at the Devanagari as well as Roman letters), and then ate the prasāda. I also listened to some wonderful Kṛṣṇa bhajans on YouTube. All in all, the experience was beautiful and lovely, and I almost got tears. Nonetheless, it felt a bit weird observing Viṣu as a Śaiva.

Here are some pics...

In the central plate are slices of Oriental melon and cucumber. The rice is multigrain with some turmeric powder added by yours truly.
