Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim brothers and sisters. Once I fasted for a whole day for a Hindu festival and I realized that fasting has a lot to do with training the mind...thinking about the Spirit over bodily requirements. For that day I wasn't hungry at all but when I realized that I was about an hour away from breaking my fast, I was like, "Oh boy, soon I can eat. I wonder what to eat!" It was only then that I got hungry - at 5 o'clock in the evening. Oh wait - there was another time I fasted for a whole day! That time I made it through without getting hungry. It helps to have God on your mind a lot. God sustains us. Anyway, fasting has a lot of health benefits as well. My dad sometimes fasts for health benefits. :)

Happy Ramadan to all muslims...

I hope we will be more happy in this great month..

(2:185) Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

Happy Ramadan
