i read the graphic novels a few yers ago, and loved them.

has anyone here seen the (animated) movie that came out about a year ago? did you like it?

yes, do! i liked the movie a good deal, but definately not as much as the books. the books had more detail and backstory to them.

but the movie was well-done, really well animated, and thought-provoking.

I hadn't seen that before. It was funny, but whoever did it could. not. sing.

Loved the comic and enjoyed the film immensely though slightly less. And it's one of those rarities where I preferred the English soundtrack over the original French. Iggy makes everything better anyway...

ah, i liked the screechy, warbling "eye of the tiger" voice in the original. it was so awful it was really cute. :D

Great flick. I started reading the graphic novel when I was staying with my Iranian friend in Toronto. I wasn't there long enough to finish it though. I have "Persepolis 2" sitting here. I intend to read it soon, but I've been on a Pratchett binge.

Alceste ~

Persepolis II is awesome, too.

personally i liked the graphic novels a lot more than the film.... they filled in more details, had more conversation, and more background on the people being described.

but the film is worth seeing, too. it's pretty darn unique, and beautiful. and, of course, very sad, too.
