A couple of months ago when I was doing the washing up, I heard the floorboards upstairs creaking like there was someone walking around. Naturally I thought it was just someone nxt door.
But the same evening, a few hours later, I heard the toilet flush go and to be quite honest I crapped my pants. Now I was the only person at home that night, so I thought it could be a burgular, but why would they pull the flush?
The major thing is that since it began a few months ago, various mechanical appliances have choked up, usually for no reason at all !
And there have been feelings of someone in the house, I can't explain exactly, my family has experienced this too.

So what do you think?

Yes, I sw my Great grand mother at the foot of my bed when i was a child. In the morning I asked my mother who it was. she asked me to describe her, a Tall veiled woman totally dressed in black.. my mother said the only person she knew who looked like that was my fathers Grandmother , but she was dead, so i must have been dreaming.
But I remember it to this day.

I dunno if I'd classify it as a ghost, but as of late something's been hanging around my room. It's taken to turning off my laptop when I'm not looking (it actually did it RIGHT as I sat down once... pestering little thing), making noises at odd hours of the night, and prodding me. I've seen some stuff too, but I don't know if it's related to that.

It's more annoyin than scary, really. It either needs to talk to me or quit messing with my laptop! Nobody but me touches this! :149: ;)

When my wife and I moved into a house we were renting a couple of years ago, strange things happened. We would see shadows move for a split second, but nothing to cause the shadow. We would have doors open on their own. When we would be in bed we would hear a very faint voice of a child singing. We found out about 6 months after we moved in that a child had died in a fire in the house a few years back...

I've seen lots of little odd things. Just the other night I saw something weird. I keep my alarm clock across the room from my bed so I have to actually get out of bed to turn it off. In between my bed and my alarm clock is the table I do my homework on. Depending on how I'm laying in bed, my clock either appears above my table, or is blocked by it.

So a few nights ago, I was watching the clock and noticed that the numbers looked really hazy. It appeared like there was something on top of the table that was making it like this, because when I moved around at a certain point, the numbers weren't hazy any more. I kept moving back and forth to watch the numbers go from hazy to not hazy and it looked like the haze was moving upwards, only it had to be getting bigger, or there'd be a spot in between the haze and the table. The thought occured to me that the haze was actually moving towards me and that frightened me, so I turned on all the lights and decided to escape to the safety of RF :D.

I see lots of little things like that, but I wonder if I just need to up my meds.

If the stuff I see/hear/feel is just me going insane, I don't think I'd want to be meds. A little bit of strange makes life interesting every now and then. :)

I simply refuse to believe in the paranormal. Dead is dead is dead...but it would be something, wouldn't it, if ghosts did roam? I've got enough to worry about! lol

I've never seen a ghost.

I have had many encounters with 'things' in my past. I had written about a few of them in another paranormal thread, I believe on this site. Dunno, though.

I was raised in a very religious house, and taught to look for the unexpected to happen. Yea, I had many, many things happen to me that I cannot explain. From seeing dead family members, to following a form of a man through my house one night as a child, I have heard many 'encounters' in my family.
Sends chills down my spine just thinking about it.
One 'happening' that happened to an old pastor of ours comes to my mind. Mr. Wampler, God rest his soul, told us of a time when his wifes dead sister woke them in the middle of the night. He woke, found her standing outside the doorway to their bedroom, and she walked out of sight down the hallway. He got up, followed her down the hall, and just as she would have went down into the basement, she turned to him and faded away.
I have many, many stories.

The house I grew up in was haunted by something, which seemed to inhabit one room in particular. Moving plants, moving curtains, closet doors opening and shutting by themselves, papers being rustled about, etc., etc. I miss the house, but not its spooky inhabitant!

I have had one experience that happened recently. My sister and I were sitting in my livingroom one night and the song "Higher" by Creed came on. I looked at my sister and said "This song reminds me of Dad"(he passed away about a year before). She exclaimed "OMG, me too". That very moment a candle which was up on the TV stand came flying down, right between the two of us. It totally freaked us right out. But it gave us a sense of comfort, that just maybe there is something more to look forward to when we die. There's been a few times I've felt my Dad's presence. It's a good feeling! :162:

A couple of other things that have happened to me with the 'thing' that I randomly remembered:

A couple of days ago I woke up in the very early hours of the morning (which was odd, considering it was dawn and I'd gone to bed not a couple of hours ago). I got up and went over to the computer, and that was the last I remember about what happened. I woke up in my sister's room, sweating like crazy when the air and even the bed was cool, and no recollection of how I got there.

The other's a bit more silly. That annoying thing unplugged my mouse and I got all confused when I moved it around and nothing happened. :D

Several of them. The first one I saw was a shadow figure. I still see them, as I have discovered there are many of them. The first up close one was a few years ago. It was female, had long blond hair, and I have no idea who it was. I saw my grandfather the night my grandmother died. I saw my brothers real dad. I have even seen animal spirits. This one spirit will even talk to me, even though I can't see it.
I can also feel the presence of a ghost easily. Its not always the whole sudden coldness the media claims it to be. It can sometimes just be feeling a presence, or heat, or sometimes cold, or other things.

I'm with you on that Sister Atom Bomb . :)

I'm not sure if they were ghost or not . I think that there are many types of Spirits , and they all aren't dead . But yes , I have seen a few things that went bump in the night .... and during the day .

Well, if you follow Bastet's link you'll find the majority of one of mine as well. Recently we've had a little girl come into our bedroom in the wee hours of the morning and walk around to my husbands side of the bed. His theory is that she was looking for our daughter, who sometimes crawls into the bed in the middle of the night.
My husband also saw an old woman in the kitchen of my mother's house at Christmas time.
