Have you ever thought about ..

We Never Know

No Slack
We cut down billions of trees every year
We kill millions of wild animals every year
We kill billions of insects every year
Etc.

If we didn't do those things, what kind of world would we live in?

A world overly populated by trees, wild animals, and insects. My apartment might have a tree or two in it with several magpies flying about. There would be more mosquitos and gnats coming in, too.

I not sure the human race could survive as a civilization in a world dense with forest teaming with wild animals and insect.

We have remodeled the world to our wants from the hostile jungle it was 25000 years ago to what we have today.

A greener world with less green house gas and less poisons from the insect sprays and less species of animals going extinct.

Killing them will not matter. They are better breeders than us.

Keep up hope. Research say that human population will peak below 9 billion and then will actually start decreasing. Birth rates are falling everywhere except in Africa.

IMO, we are the worst spiecies.
To me yes and no.

That is true in some ways but not in others. Insects are the worst species in some ways. They are heartless killing machines that probably don't even feel pain. They are mostly automatons. They are amazing and beautiful, but we are more amazing and more beautiful. Insects are a wonderful source of food which we out to learn to harness.

What is terrible about humanity is its violence to its own, but that is decreasing. We are no less violent than most other species. They embrace the instincts that we have begun to challenge and question. That makes us special in this world and possibly unique in the universe.

I may be way off on this, but I’m going to guess a world with billions more trees, billions more wild animals, and billions more insects (who are incidentally wild animals)?

We need a balance. To a large degree of did not cut down trees they would block sunlight and prevent most other trees from growing. They would be largely self regulating.

animas and insects would be much more likely to overpopulate and then crash. Often these cycles balance out somewhat.
