Have you ever went somewhere on a plane?

I fly from California to Chicago and back once a year. I love the convenience; a little over 4 hours and I'm there, but it's not my favorite way to travel.

If I had my druthers I take the train, but two and a half days on a train is too long, and breaking it up into segments is too expensive when you factor in train fare and motels.

Tbh, if I really had my druthers I'd just hop a freight train like I used to in my 20s and 30s. To me it's the most comfortable and convenient way to travel; having a whole box car to yourself and being able to get on and off anytime you want.

I used to travel by air fairly often when I was young, due to circunstances beyond my choice.

It is convenient and safe.

Have you ever went somewhere on a plane?:)I haven't.I wish I could.

I recall a lot of airline trips when I was a kid, as my parents lived on opposite ends of the country - at least a few trips every year for a number of years. I used to think it was pretty fun, but not so much anymore. I haven't flown in years.

Take-off and landing can be interesting, especially if you have a window seat. The rest of the trip's usually pretty boring.

Unfortunately, yes.
I dislike flying.
Thought I was done.
Alas, flying once again next month.

Many times, to many places. Even the long over-the-ocean flights are interesting, since you’re usually high enough to notice the curve of the Earth’s horizon, and that even while the noon sun is shining off the plane’s wings, the sky above you is black.

Dude! TMI.
Tone it down there bud.

My experiences are probably average, but not as to the means used - for example, being helicoptered off a mountain due to an injury (not that serious); having a few flights in a light aircraft piloted by my brother; a few flights in a smallish company plane for work; and the usual scheduled commercial flights, some not so far away and some much further. Being in the aircraft industry for some years, I was never bothered as to flying, but I also never really liked it. Just so boring mostly - and the usual twat in the seat behind.
