I meant a modern Druid. There are plenty of them(and most acknowledge the lack of information regarding the topic).

And some of them aren't even really Celtic. Like the one group with a leader who goes by Arthur Uther Pendragon. That wanker can bugger off with his wanting to Frankenstein Anglo-Saxon lore into Druidry (I've read a few "Druid" books that are really bad about that).

No, some of them aren't really Celtic.

Having been in a Druid circle for a number of years, I'd say the overreaching emphasis is on nature for most, although there is a Celtic overtone to it.

I can check off seven out of 10 on that list...most of the cases were in the last 20 years although I'm pretty sure I encountered others earlier in life...memory is hazy, try again later...

I'm not really a 'people person', but over the years I've met these from the list: Buddhist, Baha'i (although I didn't even know what that was until a few years ago, then it turns out there are quite a few in my part of the country, including an old schoolteacher who taught me 40 years ago or so!), Muslim, Neopagan, Jew, and Left Hand Path.

Because I have too much time to think, I've been pondering lately how you meet people with various beliefs here on the forums, but may not have ever met anyone with those beliefs personally. How about you? Have you met people from the following religions(in person, not online)?

I don't know. The subject of religion rarely comes up in my day-to-day life.

I checked Muslim, Neopagan, Hindu, and Jew. I used to know many Muslims from Jordan and Palestine. When I was in high school, I had Neopagan friends, and a Neopagan girlfriend who I met on WitchVox. I even had a teacher who was a Neopagan, and we talked a lot during lunch. The only Hindu I met and got to know a little bit was a Nepali woman who worked at a local convenience store. Lastly, I used to have a Jewish friend who was Yemeni and Indian. I also met a French Jewish woman who was a Karaite.

Sometimes, I wonder how many people I meet in my workplaces are something other than Christian or nontheistic/nonreligious. For all I know, I've met another Hindu or perhaps even a Satanic Red lately, but I wouldn't know due to the professional environment.

@JustGeorge, how come Zoroastrians are missed in your list? One of colleagues in my office was a Zoroastrians. Of the religions that I have mentioned, I have met people belonging to their various sects.

I’ve always wanted to meet a Zoroastrian. I think the Zoroastrian Faith should be included because it has influenced many other religions and has its own Prophet Zoroaster.

I've met all on the list except Jain and Baha'i. I've worked with most on the list. There are also a great number of ordained Dudeist Priests at my work, and I am an Ordained Pastafarian. I've also met Indigenous Shamans, as well as a Druid.

In the U.S, there is about a 1% Muslims population. But when you ask, everyone says they have met a Muslim. Its impossible.

Certain parts of the United States have more Muslims but we don't have many where I live in the Pacific Northwest, al least I have not met any, but I don't get out much.
