He Was With God In The Beginning

John 1:1-18
The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known

Clearly Jesus was the creator of the universe alongside God, if you’re a Christian.

If only he had said "it was Jesus". I guess clarity in writing wasn't one of the writer's strong points.

I believe that is false. God who is in Jesus is the creator.

There is much truth about God in what was offered in these passages, but the key is that it is not the flesh of Jesus that is "God", nor is it the Spirit that was with God from the Beginning, "God", but, the Holy Spirit is all we know of God and thus it is not wrong to know that Spirit amd call that Spirit, "God".

King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Jesus as the one Annointed of God, declares the Holy Spirit unto us, declares God to us. The Spirt does not enter the flesh, the eternal Holy Spirit emanates from Jesus like the Sun in a mirror, the Man Jesus being a pure unblemished mirror as per verses 4&5

"....4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not..."

Verses 6-10 tell us how John was already reflecting the Light shining from Jesus before the world knew the Message of Jesus, who was already in the world.at that time. The people were confused as to the station of John, Jesus told us that John was Elijah that always comes first to prepare the way.

"....6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not...."

Verse 10 to 17, tell us how we can become Spiritual by embracing Christ (Peter confirmed this is who Jesus was)

Verse 17 tells us that the same light in Moses was the Law and that the light of Jesus was grace and truth.

"..17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ..."

Verse 18 is the key that Jesus is not God but as Christ, he has deckares the Holy Spirit unto us

"....18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him...."

To be born into that Spirit and likewise reflect the attributes of Christ, we must pick up the cross and follow all that Jesus was in Attributes, Morality and in Service to all humanity.

My opinion of Verse 18 is that Jesus is also preparing us for the coming of the "Father", as the Son becomes the Father, the Same Holy Spirt made know by Jesus in tge Station of the Son, will return in the Station of the Father, bring about what we will know as the "Day of God".
