1.Smoking cigs
2.eating poorly (too much fat) etc.
3. too much or too little physical activity
4. too much sexual activity.

if you had to rank these from worst to less worse what would the order be? In other words what is the top shortener of life to the least.

Why is sexual activity on the list? What is unhealthy about that if done safely?

Probably in the order you have them in. But isn't this like asking "What's worse for your health, huffing glue or smoking?" One may be worse than the other, but they're both deadly.

Just a side note: in general fat isnt nearly as bad for you as it's been made out to be in the past. It's definitely not as bad for you as refined sugar.

As far as diet goes, I would rank overeating as the biggest health risk.

Bingo. Sugar is what’s killing us, not fat.

I've known many smokers who outlived nonsmokers.

2.eating poorly (too much fat) etc.
Again I've known "junk food eaters" who out live healthy eaters.

3. too much or too little physical activity

That can be hard on anyone. The less you do, the less you will be able to do but I have known couch potato's that lived long lives and healthy people fall dead from stressing their body too physically.

4. too much sexual activity.
Never known anyone to die from too much(or too little) sex.

This does not belong. Doesn't matter how much you waggle your dangle, it doesn't shorten your life.

Well, in the context of sexually transmitted infections, it absolutely can. But that would moreso be a function of number of partners and unsafe practices. Same could be said about any human exchange of bodily fluids, be it sharing needles, saliva, etc. Generously, perhaps that's what the OP was considering?

That is a question you could get answered by looking up studies and statistics. Asking random people on the internet is not a save method.
But just for fun, I'll give you my ranking from what I remember from studies I've read.

1. too little physical activity
2. eating poorly
3. smoking

Too much sex doesn't belong on the list.
