I think many religious people know the real truth imo. I also think a lot of atheists know the real truth imo. However, I also think that they like to debate back-and-forth behind their ‘religiousness’ and their ‘atheistness’ because they like the drama. Just a hunch. They’re debating things that they don’t even fully support imo.

What's the real truth?

Ya know, the obvious. The spiritual truths. How we got here. Where we’re going. You know. I thought by now when somebody mentions the ‘truth’ it’s a gimme but I guess not.

I believe that there's probably no God, but that if there is, it's something that exists actively in the universe somewhere, oversees things, and doesn't take on the attributes of the Bible God.

I believe that where we're going is a more advanced society that will be taken to that advancement like a child throwing a tantrum.

Maybe the premise is to try and help people wake up from the delusion and or acknowledge things in proper perspective.

I think I know the "real" truth (but it's far from obvious). But what do you think is the truth, just to avoid any confusion. I can't accept you believe the world began around 1980

World will begin there again after it ends sometime before 2080.
One mans life and death is the cause of this.

Since I have never heard this from anyone else, kind of hard to believe anyone other than you sees this as truth.

But sure, if you prefer to believe that everyone else is lying about what they claim to believe it certainly helps to support what you believe.

So tell me, how does it feel to exist in a world where everyone lies to you? Must be a little bit paranoia inducing.

Paranoid? No. Maybe you’re right, maybe 4 billion people are actually waiting for Jesus to come back.

Well, of course many religious people and atheists know the "real truth," but how many of them know the "real real truth?"

I think they do it to feed their ego's constant need to be "right".

It's astonishing how much energy we humans put into satiating our egos. And how much needless suffering results.

I've got nothing. This thread is...random.
