Hello, everyone... from an agnostic.

Hello everyone...

I am an agnostic, simply because I believe the existance of a creator can niether be proven or disproven. I usually frequent political forums, this being my first time to register at a religious site... I have always been interested in learning about the many different religions, and am looking forward to doing so.

BTW, I used to be a member of a baptist church before realizing I could not be sure which religion was the correct one, let alone if "god" even existed.

Welcome! I do enjoy a good political discussion, especially if it pertains to human rights and Constitutional Law. Hope to exchange ideas with you soon!

Thanks, everyone...

I find myself to be a political oddball... I end up agreeing with most everyone at some point. I am for small government and big Liberty. I don't subscribe to either of the main parties. I have major problems with both. I have been told I am not a conservative because I believe homosexuals should be able to get married. I have also been told I am not a liberal because I don't believe it is the governments job to take care of us. We need to take care of each other.

My political beliefs could best be described by two of my favorite quotes:

"If you want to be free, there is but one way; it is to guarantee an equally full measure of liberty to all your neighbors. There is no other." - Carl Shurz

"Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one." - Thomas Paine
