I am Who I am
My name is Jim, I have been searching for a Religious forum for awhile now, glad to finally have found one. I am a Gnostic who is Christian, I believe that all religions and philosophies are here for a reason and that we should learn from what our religions and other religions have to tell us.
I am not a fundamentalist rather I believe that religion is more than strict adherence to the text. To some Christians I may seem heretical, but thats okay because, to be heretical means to think differently so aren't we all? I like controversy and debate I believe that is where the truth really comes into existence, so you will most likely see me in those big debates.
I am a being who does not like to impose my views onto others, unlike some various groups of people. As an example, think of Abortion. You would never see me on a Pro-Life side of the debate but rather Pro-Choice side of the argument. Not because, I am not Pro-Life but because, the responsibility rest on you to rest the temptation to terminate life that cannot defend itself.
But I am getting ahead of myself... I am happy to be here and curious if there are any Gnostic's here as well.
