Hello and welcome to RF.
Seems to me that being born outside 'the spiritual bubble' enables you you not be influenced by the concepts of your parents/ community' religion/beliefs.
Fine observation. I've thought about that before also.
However it comes with downsides too. Sure it overemphasizes on your own personal journey spiritually. But really it is just so much easier to emulate something when you are surrounded by it.
The final question of course is, do the advantages of solitary spiritual searching overweigh the former.
Hypothetically, if you are born into a "true and good" religion and religious culture. What harm can there be in that?
If your parents are physicists, and your parents' friends are physicists, and their children are high flyers and you get to group study with them. And because of all these conducive factors scores higher in tests than some other individual who has none of these aforementioned things but strives hard on his own. Well that's just the way it is. And the latter is simply unfortunate!
