Hello,
i have a really urgent question.
a few weeks ago i came out of the shower and i had the feeling i was being watched. i was a bit afraid and suddenly my eyes closed for a second or 2 and i saw a terrifying picture, it was a sort of man with horns, it was really scary and i startled and almost fell because it was so scary. it was an image i had never seen before and i think it was the "devil" if i may call it so. i prayed for about an hour and felt safe after that, i slept quit badly that night. so if this has ever happend to any one please let me know. Because i don't know what it means

Hello and welcome to RF! :)

I hope we can help you figure out what you saw. Had you been watching scary movies?

Welcome aboard :D

As far as I know, if those existed and it was the devil or a demon or any of that sort, they cannot harm you unless you do something to provoke them.

Don't worry about it much. It could be your imagination too because of some mind fatigue due to illness or drinking, if you problems with them.

If it happens again, come and tell us. It won't hurt if we try some special tricks then.

What you will need is a silver bullet, wooden stake, garlic and a pizza.

Peace be upon you.

Welcome, Constantijn

Hallucinations are more common than most people realize. The cause, in your case: who knows?
I don't think you'll be able to pray away a neurochemical imbalance or seizure, though.

Don't worry about it. If it was real, the guy could be Pan or something, maybe nice over all.

I think I mentioned a vivid dream where I looked in the mirror and I see my self with a timber wolf head looking back. But later I sort of liked the experience. So stay cool and carry on.

You know what? If it comes again, just say "skeptisizimaniablocks" backwards three times. By the time you're even half way doing it, it will get bored and leave.

You should promptly contact a psychological professional, preferably a Psychiatrist, for consultation. You should also have your blood tested for toxins, because toxins can cause visions of things. List all of the foods that you eat, list all of the places you have been recently and consider any source where you may have picked up a toxin or a psychotropic. The Psychiatrist is important, because there are other things that can trigger a scary vision, and they will have more information than I do.

It is possible that the water itself contained a hallucinogenic compound. City water sometimes fails to purify psychotropic compounds, and so things can get into the water. We all drink the same water over and over.

I had a similar but less visual experience. Once in the night I awoke and felt like a large clawed creature was clawing my chest, but nothing happened to me. It was dark. I was startled, but my chest was not torn. I forced myself back to sleep. What I experienced is called a Night Terror. It never happened again.

I do have issues and when I was really ill I thought I was haunted by the devil. My background then was Catholic. The experience caused me one of the most intense spiritual and physical pains I've ever experienced in my life. It even left a flush on my skin like if I had been beaten. It's a miracle what the mind can do.When I was back on solid ground I decided that I hadn't been saintly or important enough for the devil to come and visit me.

So maybe it's spiritual, maybe it's medical. Maybe both. No-one can tell but you.
