Indicators Required to Choose a Religion : Its True Philosophy – Based on writing of Promised Messiah Mahdi (on whom be peace)
Peace be on you. For a seeker of truth, it is necessary to check the following three aspects, when comparing current religions to identify the right one.
(1) WHAT IS THE TEACHING ABOUT GOD IN THAT RELIGION
It has to be checked that what that particular religion teaches about God’s:
= Unity,
= Power,
= Knowledge,
= Perfection,
= Grandeur,
= Chastisement, Mercy and other necessities and
= Properties of Being Deity.
Because if a religion:
= Does not declare God as The One Who has no associate with Him, or
= Considers heavenly bodies or elements of earth as God or takes them equal to God or does not prohibit their worship, or
= Considers the Power of God is defective and
= Does not take the matter of His Power to its possible limit or
= Considers His Knowledge as incomplete or
= Imparts any teaching against His Eternal Grandeur or
= Considers excess or less in His Law of Chastisement and Mercy or
= Restricts His General Mercy, which encircles universe physically, to a certain people, in terms of connection with God and means of spiritual blessing or
= States against any of the properties of Being Deity,
Then that religion is not from God.
(2) WHAT DOES THAT RELIGION TEACH ABOUT SEEKER’S SELF AND ABOUT HUMAN CHARACTER
It is essential for seeker of truth to check the teaching of that religion about self and general human character.
= That religion should not have any teaching, which violates mutual relations of human rights or attracts human towards immodesty or results in immodest matters.
= Teaching should not be to contrary to law of nature.
= Practice on that teaching should be possible and should not result in hazard.
= Teaching should not leave anything necessary, which is important to stop discord.
= It should be seen that whether that teaching teaches or not, the commandments which strengthen the bond of love with God by declaring Him Magnificent Benevolent, and which take from darkness to light, and pull from ignorance to presence and remembrance.
(3) GOD PRESENTED IN THAT RELIGION SHOULD NOT BE FICTITIOUS, SHOULD BE LIVING
The seeker should also see that religion in question should present:
= God Who is not fictitious and Who is not believed through artificial support of stories.
= The presented God should not be analogous to a dead, and accepting Him is only because of good faith, not because He manifests Himself; accepting such a God is like one is doing favour to God.
= It is useless to believe in a God Whose Powers are not experienced and Who does not show signs of His existence. Such a God cannot give a pure life to human and cannot take human out of darkness of doubts.
= If a person does not bow to infidelity and worship-of-worldly-life, he shall find Living God so that his self become pure and illumined. Such a person shall not be pleased with any religion, in which Living God does not show his manifestation of Power and does not grant satisfaction by voice full of His Majesty.
These three important matters are worthy of thought for those who want to choose a new religion. If one finds, based on these three indicators, that a certain religion is superior to other religions, one should accept that religion. Such investigations do not need much effort. As God has provided vitals in abundance (if one does not commit suicide on purpose by not using these), which are necessary for physical life such as water, air, fire and edibles, similarly God has made ways of spiritual guidance very easy for human so that they should not face beyond-capacity troubles in this short life. Above mentioned three methods do not require from a person to spend long time and to be a scholar first. All devotees of religions present their principles and one can check through these principles whether they fulfill above mentioned three indictors or not. If one mentions something wrong about their principles, it can not remain hidden as it is the era of knowledge. There are many aspects, which reveal the reality.
