I didn't know what "tutelary" means. So I wikied it.
I don't see much connection.
My understanding of henotheism is just the belief that many gods exist, but the only ones that matter are the one(s) from one's own tribe. That sounds vaguely tutelary, in a really primitive sort of way.
I'm not sure modern people can really grasp the belief systems of peoples that primitive.
Henotheism is the worship of a single god while not denying the existence or possible existence of other deities. Friedrich Schelling coined the word, and Friedrich Welcker used it to depict primitive monotheism among ancient Greeks. Wikipedia
A tutelary(also tutelar) is a deity or spirit who is a guardian, patron, or protector of a particular place, geographic feature, person, lineage, nation, culture, or occupation.
One type of tutelary deity is the genius, the personal deity or daimon of an individual from birth to death. Another form of personal tutelary spirit is the familiar spirit of European folklore.[1] Tutelary deity - Wikipedia
