Here is a good reason why people are offended by your faith

No one have the right to judge who goes to heaven and who won't.

That being said, do you think we have much choices in this earthly life, for example
do I have a choice to be the son of a king, or do I have a choice not to be killed
by an accident, a disease ...etc
No, much of that is out of our control

Today I had someone on RF make it clear to me that if I don't convert to Islam I will go to hell ,(and produced the Quaranic verse to prove it.) This isn't just a Muslim thing. I see this all the time among Christians. It's disgusting!

DO YOU REALIZE HOW OFFENSIVE THAT IS??

People have loved ones that died outside your religion. If someone's Mother (who they loved dearly) lived a good, humble, God-fearing life, and was honest, followed the golden rule, and charitable to others, and then died outside of your religion, she goes to hell! Wouldn't you be offended if someone made such a statement that would indicate your mother is in hell forever because she didn't believe what they do.

Don't you see how ridiculous that sounds? You are telling them that those they cherish who die outside of your faith are going to be joyless, miserable, in agony FOREVER, because they don't adhere to your system of beliefs. How can you expect a decent person to not strongly resent such a belief?

Even if your faith is the truth, a person can be mistaken and reject it without realizing they are rejecting the truth. Should a person go to Hell for a crime they didn't know they were guilty of committing??

If that is the kind of faith you belong to, I'm really amazed you can't see why so many people hate it.

Why does it bother u?
U believe hell is fake.

I dont know why atheists get sleepless nights when christians/muslims says disbelievers goes to hell. Dont u guys believe hell is fake nonsense?

I confirm the quranic message that rejector of faith( message of Islam without distortion reached that person but he rejects it completely)will burn in hell. This is part of my faith. I believe in it. It is justice.

Because Allah swt created mankind and djinn to worship Him alone. Our salvation lies in worshipping Him and believing in His prophets.

It's knowing that people have those kinds of sentiments about you, that someone genuinely believes these unjust ideas, that is the problem. There is therefore a concern for the mental wellbeing of those people and for their intentions as part of a mixed and diverse global society.

I believe hell is something we all must go through and it purifies us. The idea of a place where people are tortured forever doesn't give me sleepless nights, it just makes me very angry. It is unjust and cruel!

It might be a real place. If so, that is thoroughly disgusting.

Maybe Hell is empty though

No, in truth the rejector of faith is the real Unjust!

Because Allah gave him all kinds of favors, breathing etc. He repays these favors by rejecting him.

So the unjust one is the rejector of faith.

From my perspective I have accepted God. Only from your perspective have I rejected him because I don't hold to a particular politico-theological ideology.

Anyway, I was just trying to help you understand how people of different views to your own might be thinking.

Personaly i believe a rejector of faith deserves eternal punishment.
Because God gave him easy mission: believe in Me Alone, Worship Me alone. Follow my prophets.
It cant get easier than that.

I think its good to have eternal punishment.

Anyways we seem to disagree on this issue. For you your ideology, and for me my ideology.

After this life let them burn millions and trillions of years, Never give someone a second chance?

This life is like a second compared to eternity. No one deserves eternal consequences for this short life which is over like a puff of smoke.

People deserve another chance eventually

Look from my perspective. Christians will tell me i will go to hellfire forever, because i reject trinity.
It doesnt bother me at all, why?
I dont believe they are upon Truth. So their threats doesnt hurt me at all.
Its their belief though.

I feel that our lives can only really make sense as individual lives in a long long chain of subsequent ones (either individually or collectively) for God to be just.

Many Christians would not say that you would go to hellfire of course.

It's about what people are feeling about you in their heart.

So for example, if I know that you believe I am going to burn in infinite suffering for eternity as punishment for my sins of not believing some particular doctrine, that will kind of damage my relationship with you, don't you see?

I believe as the source says and i believe the source comes from Creator.

Kiran if u want guidance, ask God alone to show u the Right Path.

Many religions will claim to be the path towards God.

I hope God will show u and pope the way.
Personaly iam certain that islam is the truth and will live&die upon islam until the last sec GodWilling.

You are really misinterpreting the situation here.

Trouble is, we do not get to live in conveniently compartimentalized worlds. Our lives are intertwined, like it or else.

I do not mind in the least taking that bet about God and Eternal Hell that Islaam proposes me.

I do however mind a lot that there are people who take that bet seriously. Some of those people are about to seek refuge in my living land right now... and in all honesty, it is difficult to trust them when they take such teachings at all seriously.
Never been a Buddhist in my life.

Not that there's anything wrong with Buddhists.

IMO, they're still after God, they just don't call Him that.
Indeed. We know better :)

But you are ok, Kirran. Your Dharma is enlightened enough, although I can't for the life of me understand why you take the god-idea so seriously.

That would be fine, except that we share the same world and end up affecting each other here.

The afterlife is no worry whatsoever. But living with people who truly believe that God favors them over unbelievers... that is scary and quite unfair really.
