See I find it rather curious that without all the semantics all religions are structured this way. I actually define religion as old guys getting stoned and talking about nothing. In my case, I would elaborate this concept as the eight primordial gods and goddesses.
4 pairs, each pair representing one aspect in male and female form: primordial Ocean, Hiddenness, Darkness, Infinity
They are ways to imagine the world before creation... or rather... illustrate how difficult it is to imagine such things in a human mind.
I see the 8 primordial deities as a reminder that we're tiny. Even our entire planet, even our sun is tiny. We're all just little bits of star stuff. Around us, before us, after us... there's still all that infinity stretching out. I find it very calming, to remember that we're not that important.
That's probably the accurate origin of quite some mythologyI actually define religion as old guys getting stoned and talking about nothing.
Yes, I am Kemetic, as in: using the concepts and images of ancient Egypt.I'm journaling my discoveries of a Voiduous nature. IS the Void male or female or indistinct or hermaphrodite?
Also, do I already know the answer as you seem to be describing Khemet?
See I don't take THOSE five elements in any actual way but I do take these five elements. I know that's very hmmm and strong but each of these is made by from nothing, nothing, the Void, being the only thing left to create this space-time and matter/energy. That's why I take it as true. Took me about a decade and a half to fi9nally get it to where it is now.Depends a bit on what you are intending to point to with those words.
With what they point to in my tradition, I worship neither - but they are more or less subsumed by Water, which I do worship. And Water in its void aspects is... so... all of the Four are dangerous in their pure forms to some degree or another. But Water in particular has given me the most regularly harrowing and terrifying experiences. I dunno if that's because I have a predominantly Fire natal chart or what, but the complete and utter destruction of literally everything is... a special kind of nasty. If you are dumb enough to approach it, don't.
