Hi All!

I am a 28-year old graduate student based in California.

I don't have a religion right now. However, I'm quite fond of Buddhism, especially Zen and Tibetan Buddhism. My main passion at the moment is politics, and I can be best described as an orthodox Marxist who is against all forms of oppression, be it based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or the like.

For me, looking and examining religion in a dialectical fashion, uncovering textual and subtextual meanings within texts is a form of cultural critique. A cultural critique which is important, because if we are to change the world, we must first expose the problems created by certain reactionary worldviews, the first of which is produced by the "opiate of the masses" known as organized religion.

I look forward to having some interesting conversations with you people.
