Hi I'm brand new here :)

Hi nice to meet you guys :)
Thought I better introduce myself before I start giving my opinions, just being courteous
I'm 15 (hoping that won't make people take me less seriously, I promise you I am very mature)

Welcome. Don't worry about age here. We have some young ones who are quite mature and some older ones who are immature. As long as you can be respectful and mind the rules then all should be good.

Welcome! Don't worry about your age. As a matter a fact, don't be mature here. We've already got enough seriousness from certain extreme fringe religious elements on here. :p

Personally I take them to be some of the most immature.

Well I think deep at heart I never truly believed. My dad estranged from his Catholic church at 14 (apparently they were REALLY crazy. Like they thought that rock music, Barbie dolls and The Simpsons were evil) and never took me or my sister to a church .One day I started watching videos on YouTube by TheThinkingAtheist (look him up if haven't watched any of his videos) and I watched all kinds of debates, and eventually I just kind of...stopped believing. And after I started calling my self an atheist at the rather young age of 11, my mom (who was an Anglican) followed in my footsteps. I remember when I was younger I used to believe in Heaven and I used to say grace at dinner and bedtime (Although after I became an atheist we stopped saying grace all together, we literally haven't done it since, I don't even remember how it goes :/)

So yeah thats it :3 (Wow theres a lot of stuff in brackets :S...oh wait)

New Scotland Blues is actually the name of a song by Joel Plaskett who is from my hometown in the Province of Nova Scotia; which is in Canada. The reason its called that is because Nova Scotia means New Scotland :)
So you sit in your front yard and drink beer and barbecue, unlike the rest of the world who do that in their back yard? ;) Oops, if you're only 15, you can't drink beer.

Um...pardon? Excuse my ignorance but I don't really understand what you mean by that :(

My neighbours here in Edmonton for a couple of summers were a work crew from Nova Scotia. They did sit in their front yard watching the traffic go by. Through conversations with them, I heard that that's common in Nova Scotia. But hey maybe they were just messing with my head. I an a gullible old guy. Maritimers, from my expereince, tend to be down home friendly, and that's what I was alluding to. Sorry if I confused you with any indirect compliments.

There is plenty to do here, although I will admit that I sometimes enjoy sitting on my porch or front yard in the summer and just watch the world go by :) But it is true that most Maritimers are very friendly. I've had random strangers start chatting to me in parks or bus stops and most people are very courteous. Now when I say most I mean most, there are still people here who can be total ********** XD
