Hello! I think no one can feel at peace ALL the time but to be peaceful is a noble goal. Welcome!

I don't blame him, Dark. My daughter has five cats and I'm so allergic that I can no longer visit her. She has to go through so much hassle to visit me. She has to keep a separate set of clothes at her dad's house at all times, and she goes over there, showers and changes clothes, then comes over. She's pretty good about doing this, but one time when it started getting chilly she brought her coat without thinking. I didn't realize that her coat had been with the cats; I was fine for two hours and then my eyes swelled shut and I couldn't see. She was so sorry she'd forgotten about the coat. When she just had one cat, it wasn't anywhere near that bad. Now, it's such a shame, and she feels guilty because she's torn between taking in strays and my allergies. Sigh.

Enough of that...may you have find good friends, good conversation and peace here. Blessings.
