Hi, Mandi, welcome to RF! :)

Likes are when someone likes a post, so it's positive feedback. (On our old software, the similar positive feedback was called a "frubal," so you might see references to frubals.)

Points are part of the infraction system for moderating the forum. The process is explained more in detail here: RF Rules | ReligiousForums.com but the quick explanation is that when a particular rule is violated, the first couple of times, a warning is sent -- and those warnings have no points.

When the same rule continues to be violated after those warnings, additional warnings for violation of the SAME rule will begin to accumulate points. Unless otherwise noted, a 1 point warning lasts for 30 days, and is considered "active" during that time. When an account has 4 active points, the software automatically restricts that account, and the member cannot post in the open forums until the oldest point expires, or the staff lists the restriction.

edit: There is a section called Site Feedback that can be found near the bottom of the Forums Page. Any thread member creates in Site Feedback can only be seen by that member and all the staff. Questions regarding rules, staff actions taken, or anything else related to the this site may be addressed to the staff in Site Feedback.

I suspect she is asking about trophy points. I've never really understood those either. They seem like a holdover from the ancient times. :)
I have 113 and don't really know why.
Tom

You're probably right. I forgot about those. I don't really understand them either. I think it has something to do with number of posts, but I don't know for sure.

Someone once told me you can trade them in for RF merchandise or sexual favors from the staff.
I'm saving up for when @Revoltingest admits to being a staff member.

Hah!
Good one!
The day I become staff, heads will roll, rules will be revamped, & I'll take precautions against assassination attempts.
