Hillary For Prez!

Not surprising. Especially after serving as SecState for the Obama administration, she has to do something to demonstrate the policy differences and distinctives.

And ... well, to be blunt, Hillary has always struck me as being more hawkish in temperament than Obama.
Hehehe. That's still like comparing a Chihuahua to a Pomeranian.

Last president we had was an attack dog ... unfortunately, he wasn't always wise about who and when he chose to attack.

Both alternatives have their problems.

It could just be me, but as more time passes and the obvious failure of the so-called "foreign policy" of the Obama Administration becomes apparent, Hil Hil becomes far less attractive as a presidential candidate. Her tenure as Secretary of State was underwhelming, at best... a disaster, at worst. It's hard to distance oneself from reality.

 Seems to me you're citing your opinion, rather than current results at the polls.

I read the actual source and what she said is very responsible. The 'hawkish' line was added by fox for their viewers.

Guess you think that the following were added for their readers also. Sorry tytlyf Hillary is becoming more of a hawk than a dove in order to distance her from the Obama fiasco's.

Drones. bin-Laden. the "surge". military cooperation with Israel (the highest it's ever been).

Some "dove".

Of course, compared to McCain, who never saw a war he didn't want to get into, yes, Obama's a "dove".

I agree, She's more hawkish than he is. Shucks the women, like many, allowed herself to be lied to by the previous administration and actually voted for the Iraq war.....but she still isn't as hawkish as all those backseat politicians and failed vice president and presidential candidates screaming (we should go to war with Russia) under their breath......Hillary's not in office but they are and that's what's really scary.....

Side seat politicians such as yourself and others on the right have no idea what it means to govern and how to govern....Shucks, all options dealing with Syria and Russia are just bad and we should avoid it like a plague. The approach taken on Iran at this point is support by a majority of the people.....The lack of any real foreign policy started with that other guy, that war monger in chief (whom I bet you voted for - twice)...(maybe)....his actions have left a bad taste in the mouths of Americans and others around the world...Our foreign adventurism as compared to what Putin is doing is seen as no different in the eyes of others across the globe.

If that is the extent of your political acumen then I can't say that I am deeply impressed.

If this isn't a rule in RF, then it should be.

Wasn't trying to impress you. You fault this administration when it comes to foreign policy. I fault them all but then again....dealing with with issues across the globe isn't so black and white. There are complexities that all administrations have to deal with. Many of these complexities are well above your pay grade and security level. About time you get whiff of them (from the press and maybe other government documents) you're still not getting the whole picture in context.

I think you meant ('shall not be used by a poster more than once every 10 post...')

Woo, so glad you're not an English teacher let alone a moderator.....:D

I shall use "shucks" as many times as I want. "Don't tread on me"...!!!!

As am I. Sort of.

The problem isn't so much that the two parties are not good enough or different enough as that it is a bad thing that there is just one party for practical purposes.

I'm no fan of the Democratic Party, but these days I wonder how come there is still a GOP to speak of. It couldn't try much harder to become a bad taste joke.

And again, that is no endorsement for either the Dems generally nor for specific candidates. At most it is an indication for them by default of the supposed alternative.

Yeah, some praising. And that is the point. We really ought to expect better from those who hope to win from the Dems in elections.

Heck, we ought to expect better from US voters than to deign the current GOP any votes at all.

Frankly, I think the days are over whereas the U.S. can try and act as if it's the world's policeman, and we've made so many mistakes that have cost us and many others dearly. It's time for this country to take a huge chill-pill and recognize this, imo.
