You've never encountered westerners who didn't know the difference? I've encountered lots, but then I've been on this planet longer than you. Maybe it was 20 years ago, and things have changed a lot since I was out and about, so to speak.

But yes, I've had people at work say, after they found out I was Hindu. "So you must know some Hindi then:rolleyes:?"

You mean Hindi is the language of what?

I tried to think of one single Hindi song I have heard that was somehow not 'devotional' and I failed. lol

I recall a song from ages ago...a song that went 'tick tock...tick tock' and then a girl screamed, but I couldn't find it...it was about the mid 90's when I went to a party...

Other than that, I know not.

I didn't mean all of them, some of them are. Hindi music is fine, just like any other music if it is devotional/spiritual.

Psst. Sridevi is a Maha-Rani. I have a strong crush on her...just like millions of her fans. Like Keanu Reeves, she's pretty much immortal: she doesn't seem to age. And, having a crush on a celebrity is completely normal, BTW. But, what is not normal is going through old postings of someone else and pin pointing them out in order to make a warped point. In fact, it kinda reminds me of a few statements that are written in the Forum Rules Section:
