Hindu Dharma

Marcion

gopa of humanity's controversial Taraka Brahma
How old are the oldest spiritual traditions of India? Are they hundreds of years old, a few thousand years or are they even older?

Older ...nobody knows as it was an oral tradition before it got written down.

In which of the most ancient texts was 'hindu dharma' (literally) mentioned for the very first time?

By "Hindu dharma" do you mean Hinduism, in the sense of Sanatana dharma, or are you talking about dharma in the Hindu sense of a life's blueprint?

What do you mean by 'Hinduism' or 'Hindu sense'? ;)
I'm asking this because Hinduism, just like the so-called 'Hindu dharma' is a relatively new concept that has no clear definition and does not fall into the same category as so-called religions. It is a vague category to tie a ribon around the many practices or belief systems native to India. And even what exactly is or is not native to India is debatable.

If you try to project the negative sectarian or xenofobic attitudes within Christianity and Islam onto Indian faiths you will get such artificial categories as "hindu dharma".
