I have been watching some interesting videos about the popular maligning of the Hindu movement as being far-right fanatical, etc. However, there are problems of prejudice by the old political establishment in India to de-emphasize Hinduism as much as possible, which is something that the Modi government is trying to reverse. This has to do with a lot of prejudice, not specifically from Muslims, but from left-wing secularists from the Congress Party culture. I would like to know where I could read more about this issue. The Hindu movement is complaining about discrimination, religious intolerance of Hinduism etc., and their resistance to this approach is being painted as right wing religious intolerance etc.
In addition, this problem has apparently also pushed the Hindu movement into an alliance with the western hegemonic system of the US and Britain, and even the Zionist regime of Israel, whereby the Hindus must be finding themselves ignoring the plight of Palestinians and other enemies of the pro-Israel movement, which runs up against their own complaints of discrimination in India.
What do thoughtful Indians, and especially Hindus think about all these issues?
