Historical Sources For Jesus

Great article. I've read similar stuff in my own research and I've no doubt @ all that Jesus was a man who actually lived during that period in Palestine covered in the gospels, a historical figure of monumental importance to the Human race as it would later turn out. Disputes about his divinity, if there may be such disputes, cannot be equated to the mans historicity. Some say the evidence is thin, Jospehus was not reliable, no other culture beyond Jewish and Roman make much mention of him etc. but to have to take it on faith that he existed @ all is absurd.

What cuts it for me, what is most convincing, is that the personality of Jesus shines through from the gospels most strikingly. It is one of the outstanding and unique features of Christianity for me, as opposed to any other religion. One can feel this integrity in the sayings of Jesus. That, and the evidence as it stands, should be enough alone to convince skeptics of his authentic existence in our historical timeline.
